This archive of drifter tracks was compiled from both the DeSoto Canyon Eddy Intrusion Study and the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico Chemical Oceanography and Hydrography Study. The latter was undertaken by Texas A&M University (see Documentation). The drifters were near surface Davis-type deployed from research vessels with positions determined by satellite tracking (Service ARGOS). The tracks have been sorted according to the date of deployment.
